High-Impact Practices (AAC&U HIPs)

The CTL supports faculty in incorporating AAC&U High-Impact Practices into their courses to deepen student engagement and foster transformative learning. We can help you integrate practices such as:

  • First-year seminars and experiences
  • Collaborative On-line International Learning (COIL)
  • Team-based projects
  • Community-engaged learning
  • Capstone projects

We will work with you to adapt these practices meaningfully and sustainably, regardless of class size or discipline.

Interpreting and Using IDEA Survey Results

Understanding student feedback is essential for continuous improvement. The CTL offers guidance on:
