Our Mission

USGA aims to represent the undergraduate student body by advocating for student interests and empowering the student voice. Now in its 55th administration, we provide opportunities to influence both their academic and social experiences at UAB. In order to accomplish our mission, USGA leaders work closely with faculty and administration to propel both short- and long-term student goals. In addition to policy work, USGA works on services, programs, and funds distribution to student organizations in order to develop and foster a more collaborative UAB community.

Join us on UAB’s North Green for Ready, Set, Vote!, a campus event designed to help students get registered, informed, and connected with UAB and local Birmingham community organizations. Throughout the day, students can stop by tables to learn about civic resources, meet organizations doing meaningful work in the community, and get involved along the way to class. We’ll also have free donuts for students who check their voter registration, with a food truck expected to be on-site as well! Come by, connect with your community, and get ready to make your voice heard.
