End Hazing

At the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), we are committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students. Hazing has no place in our campus community. UAB is unconditionally opposed to any situation created to produce mental and/or physical discomfort, embarrassment, harassment or ridicule.

This site provides the resources, reporting tools, and organizational accountability information to support hazing prevention and transparency. All Blazers are expected to not participate in any hazing activity, and to report immediately any such activity of which you become aware. Failure to report hazing is in effect giving approval of it.

Find Help on Campus

Hurting, harming, degrading, humiliating, or endangering others is not part of true friendship, team building, group cohesion, or brotherhood and sisterhood. The State of Alabama has made hazing a criminal offense, along with new federal legislation called the Stop Campus Hazing Act. Hazing is a crime and can occur in many forms. The UAB Administration’s priority is your safety and education.
