The UAB Research Technology & Communications (RTC) office maintains an extensive library of reports that return data from UAB’s electronic Research Administration (eRA) systems — myUABResearch (Huron Research Suite) and IRAP (InfoEd Global).
These reports provide data related to:
- Extramurally funded grants and contracts
- Human subjects and laboratory animal approvals
- Research Conflicts of Interest
- Additional research administration activities
Office of Research reports are available to the UAB research community. Access is permission-based and aligned with assigned security roles.
Reporting Resources
- IRAP e-Reports (Legacy and Active IRAP Modules)
IRAP e-Reports provide access to:
- Legacy OSP and RCOI data prior to implementation of myUABResearch (12/15/2025)
- Reporting for modules that remain active within the IRAP (InfoEd) system
e-Report access is permission-based. Users may:
- Utilize the integrated Search functionality to locate reports
- Save frequently used reports to Favorites by selecting the heart icon
- myUABResearch Reports (Current OSP and RCOI Activity)
Reporting for current Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) and Research Conflicts of Interest (RCOI) activity is available directly within myUABResearch. These reports provide module-based reporting tools, filtering capabilities, and export functionality to support operational and compliance needs. Users are encouraged to consult the Reporting Guides for assistance navigating reports within the system.
Modify Existing / Create New Report
If you have searched the Office of Research reporting library and did not find a report that meets your needs, you may request:
- Creation of a new report
- Modification of an existing report (e.g., adding additional data columns or filters)
To submit a request, please create a Requested Item (RITM) ticket through the UAB IT ServiceNow portal using the form linked below. For both scenarios, RTC asks that you create a Requested Item (RITM) ticket through the UAB IT Service Now portal by using our form linked below.
The RTC team continues to expand reporting capabilities as part of a broader institutional reporting roadmap. Report requests are reviewed and prioritized based on institutional impact and current workload. New requests will be completed as capacity allows. We appreciate your patience as we continue to enhance reporting tools for the research community.

Bugs, Errors, Other Issues
If you experience difficulty running a report, please submit an Incident (INC) ticket through the UAB IT ServiceNow portal using the form linked below.
Issues may include:- Report timeouts
- System error messages
- Unexpected behavior
- (Rarely) suspected incorrect data output
RTC will investigate the details of the reported incident and attempt to replicate the issue. Please note that RTC may require additional follow-up information from the user reporting an incident during the investigation.
NOTE: If you are running reports at the quarters of an hour and receive an error, please try again. The reporting database is refreshed every 15 minutes which may cause a disruption in pulling back the data. If you have questions, please contact the RTC office at
