Biography

Dr. Eliot Gagne is an active duty surgeon with the United States Air Force Special Operations Surgical Team (SOST) based out of UAB. He joined UAB in 2025, when he became a clinical assistant professor with the Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery.

Before coming to UAB, he was a general surgeon at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), University Medical Center, and the Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center. Prior to that, he was a general surgeon at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis) and the David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base.

Dr. Gagne earned his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine. He then completed his surgical internship at UC Davis and his general surgery residency at UNLV.
