Biography
Dr. Hampton Gray, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at UAB. He has a special interest in improving quality and peri-operative care in pediatric cardiothoracic surgery. Specifically, single ventricle physiology and factors that improve short, intermediate and long-term outcomes in this cohort of patients.
Gray completed his bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of Alabama. He then completed his medical degree at the UAB Marnix E. Heersink School of Medicine and his internship and residency at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. After completing his internship and residency, Gray joined the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles as a congenital cardiac surgery fellow.
Dr. Gray has received several prestigious awards and is a member of several professional societies. He has previous teaching experience at The University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine and The Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. He has also published many manuscripts and books as well as delivered numerous oral presentations at well-respected medical conferences.
