The Home Dialysis Academy is focused on providing a structured course on home modalities, which includes didactic lectures, interactive sessions, small group sessions and practical workstations.

The three-day course attempts to augment the knowledge of home modalities that fellows attain during the fellowship training, and gives them a platform to learn specifics like finances of dialysis, dosing on home hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, as well as troubleshooting. Previous attendees have included fellows from multiple training institutes across the nation, as well as private practice nephrologists.

The program has been endorsed by the International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD) and is offered to all Nephrology Fellows/Programs in the United States.
