  UAB Transportation alters services for Labor holiday

  In observance of the Labor Day holiday, there will be no Blazer Express bus, Highlands Shuttle, or MARS service on Monday, Sept. 1.

  The nighttime Safety Escort van service will operate as normal on both Sunday, Aug. 31 and Monday, Sept. 1.

  What you need to know: New student permit system launches this fall

  Beginning this fall, all student parking permits will be virtual, eliminating the need for physical hangtags. Permits will go on sale at 8 a.m. Aug. 1. Zone permits are sold on a first-come, first-served basis with a limited quantity in each zone. Students are encouraged to visit the Student Parking webpage to learn about parking options and permit sale timeframes.
