Research Medical Student Grant

• Makes radiology research opportunities possible for medical students, and to encourage them early in their medical careers to consider academic radiology as an option for their future.
• $3,000 stipend for a 10-week research project, to be matched by the sponsoring department ($6,000 total).

ARRS/Philips Healthcare Scholarship

• One faculty per department per year
• The scholar may choose a one-year program requiring a minimum 80 percent time commitment, or a two-year program requiring a minimum 50 percent time commitment.
• Application Deadline: Mid-November

RSNA Research Scholar Grant

• Supports junior faculty members who have completed the conventional resident/fellowship training programs but have not yet been recognized as independent investigators.
• $75,000 annually for 2 years ($150,000 total) to be used as salary support.
• Requires a minimum of 40% effort.

ARRS Clinician Educator Development Program

• Each year 25 junior faculty nominees are selected and receive a $1,000 grant to attend a two-day workshop to gain proficiency in teaching skills and designing educational activities.
• Only TWO nominees per institution will be accepted.
• All attendees will receive a $1,000 educational grant only after attending all the required programs.
• Application Deadline: Late December

ARRS ASNR Scholarship

• The scholarship program is open to junior full time faculty members (below the associate professor level) specializing in neuroradiology.
• The ARRS Research Subcommittee in conjunction with members of The Foundation of the ASNR will select one scholar each year to participate in a two-year program. The scholarship will provide $150,000 ($75,000 per year); it requires a minimum 50 percent time commitment. Application Deadline: Spring 2018 / Scholarship is awarded every other year.

AUR GE Radiology Research Academic Fellowship (GERRAF) Award

• One faculty per department per year
• GERRAF Board of Review selects up to four applicants to receive two-year, $140,000 fellowships.
• GERRAF stipends are paid annually in $70,000 installments directly to sponsoring institutions for salary, research and education support in exchange for protecting half the Fellow's time to conduct the approved research.
• Applicants must currently hold a junior faculty appointment
• Application Deadline: Mid-January

AUR Strategic Alignment Grant

• To advance the long-range strategic organizational goals of the AUR by awarding one year length grant(s) to applicants who address identified strategic priorities
• One or more grants, up to $35,000 (USD) in aggregate will be awarded.
• The maximum individual award may not exceed $35,000 for a one-year project.
• Applications by Residents and Fellows are encouraged but must list a co-principal investigator (mentor) who is a full AUR member.
• Applicants (the primary investigator) may only submit one grant application to the AUR Research and Education Foundation per year.
• Applicants must hold a M.D. degree (or equivalent), be board eligible or certified in radiology, and have received sufficient research training at pre- and/or postdoctoral levels to be capable of independent research.
• Application Deadline: Mid-January

RSNA/AUR/APDR/SCARD Education Research Development Grant

• Up to $10,000 for a 1-year project to help cover the costs of research materials, research assistant support, and limited primary investigator salary support
• Application Deadline: Early January

• The Rogers Fellowship is an award that provides 1 recipient per year with an opportunity to work closely with AJR editors and staff to learn the fundamentals of medical publishing.
• The successful candidates will each be awarded a maximum of $12,000 to cover travel and other expenses.
