• To provide consultation services for hospitalized patients who manifest symptoms of psychiatric illness
• To help educate colleagues, patients, and families about mental disorders
• To facilitate appropriate transfer of care for patients requiring inpatient psychiatric management

• Full-time service providing evaluation and treatment recommendations for hospitalized patients
• Education of Psychiatric Residents in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry
• Education of Medical Students in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry
• Management of a full-time Psychiatric Emergency Service for walk-in assessment of acute psychiatric problems
• Faculty participation in clinical and translational research
