Closure Notice for UAB Dentistry Dothan October 6-9

UAB Dentistry Dothan will be closed for patient care from Monday, October 6 through Thursday, October 9, 2025, due to scheduled faculty and staff activities. The clinic will remain closed on Friday, October 10, as part of its regular schedule.

During the October 6-9 closure, staff will be available to take calls and schedule appointments.

If you are an established patient of the clinic with a dental emergency, you may call (334) 714-9261.

For medical emergencies, please go to the nearest emergency room.

Cost of Treatment

Because each patient’s dental needs are unique, we are unable to provide an accurate cost estimate for treatment until a patient is evaluated through an initial exam by one of our providers. During the initial exam, our providers will discuss treatment recommendations and outline approximate costs in a treatment plan. This process allows patients to be fully informed of their options and aids in financial planning. More information can be provided at the time of scheduling. Payment is due at the time of service.

Payment is due at the time of service. Payment can be made by cash, check, or major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover).

In-Network Insurance

UAB Dentistry Dothan is a preferred provider organization for Southland Benefit Solutions and Viva Health.

Important Note: While dental insurance may provide benefits, it typically does not cover all treatment costs. We encourage patients to review their coverage details to better understand what’s included and plan for any out-of-pocket expenses. Patients are responsible for copays and deductibles associated with in-network coverage. Please note that we may not provide fee or treatment estimates over the phone.

Out-of-Network Insurance

Patients with dental insurance from companies not considered in-network may still receive care at our clinic.

However, please note the following:

  • Full payment is required at the time of service.
    We are not authorized to bill out-of-network insurance companies directly.
  • We will provide documentation to help patients file their own claims.
    This includes the dental information needed to complete your insurance form.
  • We cannot verify your insurance details.
    Because we are not connected to out-of-network providers, this means we are unable to check eligibility, benefits, claim history, or payment status.
While we are happy to assist with claim documentation, we cannot guarantee reimbursement. Please contact your insurance provider directly for details.
