UAB Medicine Quality & Patient Safety recently released its annual report for 2017. The Office of Interprofessional Simulation for Innovative Clinical Practice (OIPS) is proud to be part of the Quality & Patient Safety team that is working to improve the care provided to patients throughout the UAB Health System. OIPS is committed to improving patient care outcomes by embedding simulation techniques and tools throughout the UAB community. In 2017, OIPS collaborated with many partners to support education, training, and outcomes related to high priority goals such as: improving sepsis mortality, procedural training the “UAB Way,” facilities planning simulations, and infectious disease outbreak training.
