Postdoc Appreciation Week is September 15-19, 2025. During this week, UAB celebrates postdoctoral scholars and their contributions to the research community. Thus, OPE is excited to recognize outstanding scholars during the Postdocs Award Ceremony which will take place at the Annual Postdoc Lunch on Friday, September 19th. Please consider nominating a fellow postdoc for an award below.

Dr. Congeniality Award: This award recognizes the postdoctoral scholar whose kind and pleasant demeanor brightens the workplace, thereby fostering a positive and supportive work environment for all.
Excellent Peer Award: This award honors a postdoctoral scholar who consistently extends their talents, patience, and time to assist other scholars and researchers and, thus, exemplifies true collegiality and support.
The Dory Award: This award celebrates resilience and perseverance. Thus, it is for a postdoctoral scholar who, despite facing setbacks and obstacles, has relentlessly pushed forward to successfully complete their projects.
