Renee Heffron, Ph.D., MPH, joins CFAR as new the director effective July 1, 2022.

Patrice Knight, M.D., longtime regional chair of Pediatrics at the UAB Heersink School of Medicine Huntsville Regional Medical Campus, passed away Feb. 2, 2022. Knight retired from the campus in 2020 after 35 years of service.

Brook Hubner, PhD, assistant professor in the Department of Medical Education and director of Academic Success, answers questions about the role of the Academic Success team in the medical school and ways the office has pivoted to help students navigate recent changes to Step 1.
