We proudly celebrated the 2025 Radiology Awards at our All Hands meeting in July. With the whole department tuned in, it was a wonderful an opportunity to recognize the outstanding individuals who make the Department of Radiology such a remarkable place to work and grow. We are fortunate to have an incredible team whose talent, collaboration, and commitment elevate everything we do.

The meeting started off with an update on the Heersink School of Medicine and the larger UAB System from Anupam Agarwal, M.D., senior vice president for medicine and dean of the Heersink School of Medicine. We appreciated hearing about this update from Agarwal in person. 

We then transitioned into the awards ceremony, where Srini Tridandapani, M.D., Ph.D., MBA, interim chair of the Department of Radiology, vice chair and division director of Imaging Informatics, and professor in the cardiopulmonary imaging section hosted the event. 

The Radiology Awards are designed to recognize achievements in multiple domains from faculty, staff, administration, and trainees.

The awards committee carerfully reviewed all nominations and submission materials and each nomination was ranked to determine the final winner. From a Best Research Paper Award to a Community Service Award, the list was designed to highlight imporant areas not only in the department but in society and how our team is excelling in both.
