Get to know him better with three questions!

Why did you pursue a career in Interventional Radiology?

Ramos-Marin: I was drawn into the specialty because it combines diagnostic imaging with hands-on procedural interventions that can make an immediate impact on a patient’s life. It gives me the opportunity to be involved in the entire course of a patient’s care, from the diagnostic stage to obtaining biopsies and ultimately performing therapeutic interventions, while working closely with other specialties to find the best solutions for each patient.

What is one thing about your job that people may be surprised to know about?

Ramos-Marin: Many people are surprised by how much direct patient interaction we have. From clinic visits to post-procedure follow-ups, we often build meaningful relationships with our patients throughout their treatment journey.

What do you like to do when you’re not at work?

Ramos-Marin: When I’m not at work, I love spending time with family and friends, exploring new restaurants, traveling, and playing fútbol and tennis, when I have the chance.
