The University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Pediatrics is proud to announce that Sarah Novara, M.D., associate professor in the Division of Pediatric Neurology and David Galloway, M.D., associate professor in the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, have been elected as voting members of the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC).

The GMEC serves as the oversight body for all graduate medical education programs offered at UAB and its affiliated campuses within the Marnix E. Heersink School of Medicine. As voting members, Novara and Galloway will help guide decisions related to accreditation, program quality, policies and the overall educational environment for residents and fellows.

Their selection highlights a continued commitment to advancing medical education and supporting the next generation of physicians at UAB. Congratulations Drs. Novara and Galloway!
