The University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Pediatrics is proud to announce that Daniel Feig, M.D., professor in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology, received the 2025 Wallace Alexander Clyde Distinguished Service Award from the Alabama Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

“I truly feel honored by this award and am tremendously grateful to the colleagues and collaborators who make this work possible. Pediatrics is a team sport and I am fortunate to work as part of one of the greatest teams ever,” said Feig.

The Wallace Clyde award was initiated in 1984 by the UAB Department of Pediatrics and Children’s of Alabama to recognize outstanding physicians who have devoted a lifetime of service to children and their families; recipients are chosen by a select committee of leaders in the field of pediatrics.

Feig was honored for his work helping the children of Alabama.
