UAB has an extensive list of AI tools available for campus faculty, staff and students to use, but if you have a tool in mind that hasn’t been approved yet, you can submit it for review.

Even if it the tool a free service, requests for review need to be submitted in the IT Service Portal.

When submitting a tool for review, keep in mind that there are some questions you need to answer before completing the form.

• What is your service area on campus? AI can enhance different areas, and we want to make sure that this tool can boost support for you and your colleagues.
• What is the solution that this tool will solve, and what sets it apart from the other tools we already have? You may also need to provide a plan for why you need it and how it can enhance your work.
• Will it be collecting data? Data is the crown jewel for UAB, and we want to protect it at all costs. It is important to disclose if the tool you want to use for work is collecting data and using it in any form.
