In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the UAB Employee Assistance & Counseling Center (EACC) invites you to light a candle for victims of family and domestic violence, child abuse, intimate partner abuse or elder abuse. Throughout the month of October, honor a loved one touched by domestic violence by leaving a message of support, encouragement or remembrance. Fill out the Light a Candle form below to add your voice to our virtual candlelight vigil.
Now through October 31, 2025, the EACC is collecting toiletry items to benefit the YWCA of Central Alabama's emergency shelters and domestic violence services. Visit go.uab.edu/stopDV for more details on this and other domestic violence events and resources.
