
Many of the founding members of the statewide group are graduates of the UAB Executive Development program, which works to develop executive leaders in higher education.
Gunther-Canada says the group is kicking off the academic year with their first event. “Participants will learn more about the American Council on Education’s Women’s Network ‘Moving the Needle’ initiative and hear from a panel of women administrators from colleges and universities across the state,” she says .“The afternoon will include a career mapping workshop followed by a networking reception. All are welcome.”
The event will be held October 9th from 1:00-4:00 pm at the Edge of Chaos in the Lister Hill Library on campus.
